FirstSignal Survey Finds that 20% of Respondents Report having Herpes Simplex. More than half report severe disruptions to their daily lives

Media, PA (May 17, 2022) -- FirstSignal LLC, a company developing products based on the theory of Molecular Signaling to promote health and wellness, recently surveyed a cross section of Americans to learn more about the severity and impact of Herpes Simplex.

Of survey respondents, 20% self-reported having had Herpes Simplex (HSV1 or HSV2) at some point in their lives. Oral Herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The virus is highly contagious and can be contracted by touching infected saliva, mucous membranes, or skin.1

30% of those who reported Herpes Simplex had outbreaks several times a year, 32% had outbreaks once a month or more.

54% described their outbreaks as “somewhat” or “very disruptive” and many commented that they were embarrassed by their outbreaks and often reduced their level of social activities during outbreaks.

To mitigate these outbreaks, 90% would be at least somewhat interested in products that could reduce or eliminate symptoms within 1-2 days. The average duration of an oral herpes is 2-3 weeks, according to WebMD.

“We are interested in helping those who may be impacted by the Herpes Simplex virus. Our users have told us that using FirstSignal at the first sign of a cold sore together with Abreva reduces the duration of Oral Herpes outbreaks dramatically,” said Joel Adams, Founder of FirstSignal.

71% of respondents said they were “somewhat” or “very” like to try FirstSignal2, which uses ultra-precise, micro-doses of Zinc to help the body towards wellness by promoting normal cellular signaling.*
