Is this a drug?

No. It's fortified water.  FirstSignal is fortified with zinc and vitamin C.

Is this approved by the FDA?

FirstSignal is produced following all FDA standards for its ingredients.

What are the ingredients?

  • Natural mint flavoring
  • Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)

How does it work?

Since these are all safe ingredients, small variations in the usage is not considered harmful.

Is it safe for children under 13 years old?

The health risks of stevia to children are not well understood. For this reason, it is best to avoid sweetened drinks, even if they are calorie-free. FirstSignal fortified water does contain a micro-amount of Stevia. We recommend consulting with your child’s doctor before using FirstSignal.
