“I have had cold sores around my mouth most of my adult life. I probably get them a half dozen times per year and the onset is usually associated with a cold or stress.

The best treatment that I have found is Abreva. If I really rub in Abreva early enough at the onset of a sore, I can avoid having it break out into a lesion. It does seem though that it is still “sore” for about ten days.
